I took off a few days from work for a long Memorial Day weekend and bummed around Central Oregon. One of my stops was the Deschutes National Forest office in Bend to scan photos for my lookout book. Penni and Matt from the Heritage staff were both very helpful and I was able to scan 56 photos from the Ochoco National Forest and 42 photos from the Deschutes National Forest.
One of the pictures I scanned was of the Mt. Pisgah lookout from 1933. It was fun to see an old photo of this lookout because a few summers ago I hiked to the summit of that peak on a beautiful summer day.
