Type: 50′ tower with L4 cab
Status: Staffed
Elevation: 5,593′
Visited: July 3, 2021
The third lookout we visited today was Dry Soda. We headed up Road 3925 and found that this tower has the unusual distinction of being right along a major Forest Road instead of at the end of a rough road.
Much of the area out there burned in the 2015 Canyon Creek Fire.
Directions
Half a mile south of the Swick Old Growth interpretive trail on Highway 395, turn east onto Road 3925. Drive for about 8.5 miles on this good gravel road until you reach the lookout, which is right beside this road.
