The lookout that once sat on Clatskanie Mountain in the Coast Range is now located at Hopkins Demonstration Forest (see history below).
Directions
From Oregon City travel south on Highway 213 towards Molalla. Turn left on S. Spangler Road. After two miles turn right onto S. Brockway Road. Follow this road for about a mile to Hopkins.

History
This tower was originally constructed on Clatskanie Mountain in 1954 along with ground cabin living quarters. In 1984 the tower was dismantled and moved to Magness Memorial Tree Farm to be an educational exhibit there.
In 2008 Forests Forever, who operates Hopkins Demonstration Forest, entered in to an agreement to transfer the tower to their property. The process required permits, re-fabrication of parts, and a lot of time, money, and logistics. (See 2021 article here.) The tower now sits at the edge of their parking lot
