After a hike in the nearby Bullrun Rock Wilderness Greg and I visited the Table Rock lookout. It was built in 1937 and is staffed in the summer:
The 2016 Rail Fire came up here. They had to wrap the lookout and the outhouse to save them (I wrote about it at the time), which you can see in these photos:
The news reported that the outhouse burned down, but it was actually this old garage and the old not-in-use outhouse, pictured here in 2008 and 2013:

So many ladybugs!
It was CRAZY windy up there, or we would have stayed longer enjoying the views. That might be the most exposed lookout site I’ve ever visited.
