Time to get out and start walking.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51273132593_2811b1b212_c.jpg\" alt=\"Sexton Mountain\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was a 0.8 mile hike up the road to the summit. In April 2006 vandals destroyed the lookout tower and repeater antennas. The damage included three structures and other communications equipment. The cupola itself is gone and it&#8217;s roof lowered. And there aren&#8217;t windows all around the cabin:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51273126083_60bec657c2_c.jpg\" alt=\"Sexton Mountain\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51272200292_ec340f4203_c.jpg\" alt=\"Sexton Mountain\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Old weather station:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51273124738_e19c731a50_c.jpg\" alt=\"Sexton Mountain\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There is a house up here. Presumably it once served as living quarters for the lookout:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51272205417_cfddf4058d_c.jpg\" alt=\"Sexton Mountain\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51273130183_6bfbd8f34b_c.jpg\" alt=\"Sexton Mountain\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The tower has a fence around it so there&#8217;s no way to gain access.
