Much of the summit burned in the 2017 Milli Fire:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/49988452827_96df87c70b_c.jpg\" alt=\"Trout Creek Butte\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/49988204411_d6b8b3ff03_c.jpg\" alt=\"Trout Creek Butte\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>However, some of the trees right by the lookout survived:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/49987699483_292b7a2368_c.jpg\" alt=\"Trout Creek Butte Lookout\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/49988459867_ea3f1d56d7_c.jpg\" alt=\"Trout Creek Butte Lookout\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This lookout hasn&#8217;t been used in many years.
