It can be a bit tricky to figure out the correct route to get here. From Days Creek Road we drive 2.3 miles on\u00a0BLM Road 7.0 up to the gated spur road that runs up to the lookout. Now it&#8217;s time to walk.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/303\/19329181666_5e4f6dfd70_c.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"531\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The lookout is not regularly staffed and the road doesn&#8217;t look like it sees much use.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/475\/19329182216_9dd6aa975c_c.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"531\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3834\/19359298611_3676cc8f21_c.jpg\" alt=\"Bland Mountain Lookout\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was a hot, humid day, so after half a mile of uphill hiking we were glad to arrive! Bland Mountain has been a lookout site since 1944. The current 20-foot-tall tower was erected in 1997 using the recycled water tower from the Canyonville State Forestry Office.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/490\/19329182596_a2d629e7b7_c.jpg\" alt=\"Bland Mountain Lookout\" width=\"800\" height=\"531\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3692\/18734652693_12b3c4d10a_c.jpg\" alt=\"Bland Mountain Lookout\" width=\"531\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The lookout is all boarded up, but the hatch to the catwalk was not locked, so I went up for a view.
