Hood lookouts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On November 14 I scanned photos at the Mt. Hood National Forest offices for my Mt. Hood history book. I went back today and scanned some more. Lots of great stuff!<\/p>\n<p>I also scanned a lot of lookout photos that will be candidates for the next book I&#8217;m going to work on, a history of Oregon&#8217;s fire lookouts. Below is an undated photo of the Bull of the Woods lookout in better days. It&#8217;s abandoned now, and I haven&#8217;t been up there but I hear it&#8217;s starting to get in pretty bad shape.
