Today I returned.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I parked at the gate and started walking:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53821351561_5397bf64f9_b.jpg\" alt=\"Odell Butte\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53821758608_0af86e1f6e_b.jpg\" alt=\"Odell Butte\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After a 0.8 mile road hike I reached the summit:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53821873750_cc9bd361c1_b.jpg\" alt=\"Odell Butte\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53821705974_db1624964a_b.jpg\" alt=\"Odell Butte\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53821809130_07c54bec41_b.jpg\" alt=\"Odell Butte\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lots of communication towers up here:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53821440651_eabc4a91b9_b.jpg\" alt=\"Odell Butte\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A lovely patch of penstemon:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53821770669_a7e3028c27_b.jpg\" alt=\"Odell Butte\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From the ground you have to move around the summit to get all the views. I was lucky enough to be invited up the tower where I had a nice conversation with the lookout.<\/p>\n<p>Looking north at Mt. Jefferson, the Three Sisters, Broken Top, Mt.
