I was back in the area and decided to approach from the road. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I parked at the gate and hiked in:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53820651416_f8ce555941_b.jpg\" alt=\"Road hike to Pig Iron Lookout\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I saw a few patches of rhododendron in bloom along the way:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53819735067_34c25e980c_b.jpg\" alt=\"Road hike to Pig Iron Lookout\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53821092610_2d68dc0f69_b.jpg\" alt=\"Road hike to Pig Iron Lookout\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I reached the lookout.
