This lookout is staffed and there&#8217;s an observation deck part of the way up.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/1024\/833195149_09c0ef96e8_c.jpg\" width=\"531\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was CRAZY windy up there, but the views were great. It eventually grew into the Battle Creek Complex and burned more than 75,000 acres. The fire burned right up onto Hat Point but thankfully the tower itself did not burn. The views are pretty dang nice on a beautiful June day! A crew was there that day getting the place ready for the impending arrival of said lookout:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53036720703_a6d53a0bf0_c.jpg\" alt=\"Hat Point Lookout\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the town of Imnaha turn onto Road 4240. Follow this road 22.6 miles all the way to its end at Hat Point.
