There were 15 cars when we arrived at 10 AM and it was 55\u00b0. We crossed the bridge over Beverly creek:<\/p>\n<p>Crossing Beverly Creek:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52175374428_068b74f202_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52175372966_ed3f99ea68_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52174343357_7504211524_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We hiked half a mile, then turned left at a junction:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52175856510_cae5df8eb2_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52175622464_e29cd38833_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The other trail heads to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wta.org\/go-hiking\/hikes\/bean-creek-basin\">Bean Creek Basin<\/a>, which is where most people must have gone because we saw hardly anyone on the hike. Just past the junction is a crossing of Bean Creek. The crossing wasn\u2019t quite doable as a rock hop, so I took off my boots, put on my crocs, and waded across. We sat on a bare patch of ground and enjoyed the quiet and scenery for awhile:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52176141017_1b89d8bc88_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The snow-buried Hardscrabble Trail continues to a formation called Volcanic Neck:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52177390304_19e4afc6f2_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are probably great views up there but we didn&#8217;t go that far due to the snow. But we did got a short distance on the trail to see if we could get slightly better views:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52177139586_25eba0a47b_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As a matter of fact, yes, there are slightly better views of Argonaut Peak, Colchuck Peak, Dragontail Peak, and Little Annapurna:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52176140162_904e8be13b_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52177165366_2963beda8c_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We couldn&#8217;t see the biggest mountain in the range, Mt. Stuart, but then we spotted it&#8217;s snowy white summit poking up behind a saddle:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52176139517_33f876796c_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We had a good view of Iron Peak and Bill&#8217;s Peak:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52176138212_498935e565_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Heading back down to the car:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52177666655_8cc24d30e1_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52177176286_d7f1913af0_c.jpg\" alt=\"Beverly Turnpike Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This was a nice hike! We saw hardly anyone and the snow didn&#8217;t stop our progress.
