{"id":4050,"date":"2021-09-22T22:39:17","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T22:39:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cherylhill.net\/blog\/?p=4050"},"modified":"2021-09-22T22:39:17","modified_gmt":"2021-09-22T22:39:17","slug":"klahhane-ridge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cherylhill.net\/blog\/2021\/09\/22\/klahhane-ridge\/","title":{"rendered":"Klahhane Ridge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sunday, September 5, 2021<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This morning we drove towards Hurricane Ridge and parked at the trailhead for the Switchback Trail, an appropriately named trail that switchbacks up the slope:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51434556525_b3b061b371_c.jpg\" alt=\"Switchback Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There were a lot of clouds today, but we could see some of the mountains from the trail as we climbed:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51433887898_f0394e5bab_c.jpg\" alt=\"Switchback Trail\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Along the way we passed a few deer grazing just below the trail. This one gave me a curious look:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51435773627_ea85650589_c.jpg\" alt=\"Deer\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We reached a junction where the trail to the left heads towards Hurricane Ridge.
