One of the guys saw us with our packs and poles (and no vehicle in sight) and said &#8220;You guys WALKED up here???&#8221; His tone was not &#8220;wow, that&#8217;s impressive&#8221; it was more like &#8220;wow, you&#8217;re insane.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51227635193_297508a830_c.jpg\" alt=\"Round Mountain hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There were some ladybugs congregating on the rocks:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51228185969_8cd13d984c_c.jpg\" alt=\"Round Mountain hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51227415131_4bf46c37b3_c.jpg\" alt=\"Round Mountain hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The previous OHVs left, then more arrived. Break over, we started heading down:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51227636928_174c1f6f11_c.jpg\" alt=\"Round Mountain hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We ran into some mountain bikers just coming up the trail on the other side, from Walton Lake. They planned to go down the trail we had come up, then go up and over Lookout Mountain. Intense! Then a convoy of six OHVs passed us, heading up to the summit. Sheesh.
