{"id":3253,"date":"2020-07-13T19:27:19","date_gmt":"2020-07-13T19:27:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cherylhill.net\/blog\/?p=3253"},"modified":"2020-08-24T14:36:35","modified_gmt":"2020-08-24T14:36:35","slug":"babyfoot-lake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cherylhill.net\/blog\/2020\/07\/13\/babyfoot-lake\/","title":{"rendered":"Babyfoot Lake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wednesday, July 1, 2020<\/p>\n<p>On our way to <a href=\"http:\/\/cherylhill.net\/firelookouts\/2020\/07\/10\/bolan-mountain\/\">stay at Bolan Mountain lookout<\/a> for a long 4th of July weekend we made a detour up Road 4201 to the Babyfoot Lake Trailhead.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/50085542811_40d1c45310_b.jpg\" alt=\"Babyfoot Lake Hike\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The views from the trailhead were pretty great. We could see north to Pearsoll Peak, with its old fire lookout:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/50085776747_8d708fcabe_b.jpg\" alt=\"Babyfoot Lake Hike\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/50087280647_497c58c7b4_b.jpg\" alt=\"Babyfoot Lake Hike\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Looking west into the Kalmiopsis Wilderness from the trailhead:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/50085776052_5c96bed4e0_b.jpg\" alt=\"Babyfoot Lake Hike\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We set off down the trail, passing through an area that was logged after the 2002 Biscuit Fire, even though it lies within the protected Babyfoot Lake Botanical Area.
