About

Cheryl HillI grew up near Portland, Oregon. I always enjoyed taking snapshots at summer camp and on family vacations, but it wasn’t until I moved to British Columbia in 2004 that I started exploring nature photography. Armed with a new point-and-shoot digital camera, I took well over 10,000 pictures during my years in Vancouver.

After moving back to Portland, I took a short photography class and bought my first DSLR. I love capturing the beauty of the outdoors, covering everything from mountain landscapes to vivid autumn colors, colorful wildflowers to urban nature. I spend many hours roaming along mountain hiking trails and urban nature trails, logging hundreds of miles on my hiking boots each year. I currently work as a librarian in Oregon.
