Today I hiked the next section south of that. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I started my hike where Green Ridge Trail #4025 crosses Road 600 near Green Ridge Lookout.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53732934180_023e6f8f79_b.jpg\" alt=\"Green Ridge Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The trail headed south through a forest of Douglas fir and ponderosa pine:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53732934890_6923b1654b_b.jpg\" alt=\"Green Ridge Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I saw a few wildflowers:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53732506601_cbd12fd100_b.jpg\" alt=\"Green Ridge Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Crews haven&#8217;t come through yet to clear downed trees from last winter:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53732505581_c634ff8238_b.jpg\" alt=\"Green Ridge Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The trail made a gradual descent and at half a mile crossed Road 600. At 0.8 miles the map shows that the trail starts following the route of Road 627. It didn&#8217;t look to me like it had ever been a road and it certainly isn&#8217;t now.<\/p>\n<p>Half a mile after crossing 600 I reached an open sagebrush area with views through burnt snags.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53732706598_e3629b7436_b.jpg\" alt=\"Green Ridge Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53732716313_2412bbb320_b.jpg\" alt=\"Green Ridge Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mt. Washington:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53732835059_a08024f6e6_b.jpg\" alt=\"Green Ridge Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Part of the Three Sisters:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53732835049_aa4e0de521_b.jpg\" alt=\"Green Ridge Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The trail continued south and at 1.9 miles I met up with Road 300 coming in from the left.
