Today was too cloudy for views, but the flowers were still nice!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I started off at the Marys Peak Campground, where some lovely wild iris was blooming:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53814130896_5c38d63dcf_b.jpg\" alt=\"Marys Peak Hike\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The start of the trail at the edge of the campground:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53814374288_9fd24e2ccf_b.jpg\" alt=\"Marys Peak Hike\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53814374008_535f459699_b.jpg\" alt=\"Marys Peak Hike\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Heading into the forest:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53814571775_2ace24b2fe_b.jpg\" alt=\"Marys Peak Hike\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53814374378_c2c98b898d_b.jpg\" alt=\"Marys Peak Hike\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I quickly reached a junction with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/recarea\/siuslaw\/recreation\/recarea\/?recid=42321\">Meadowedge Trail<\/a>, which makes a loop. reached a junction where trails headed off to the right and the service road went straight:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" hike back to the trailhead it started sleeting at one point, so I picked up the pace and was glad to retreat into the warmth of my car. After that I drove to the day use area at the end of road.
