I&#8217;d be heading down Acker Divide Trail 1437:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53116408522_a1e44dd8a4_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The trail immediately entered the wilderness:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53115228427_3e698a6059_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then entered the burn area from the 2017 Pup Fire:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53117208294_4fec0b5612_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53105081663_fb75a15f8a_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I crossed Lonewoman Creek, which actually had water in it:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53115228417_cd76d185ed_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After that the trail traverses across a large meadow.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53117165204_a5849397b7_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I saw this lovely butterfly with translucent wings:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53116929911_64fc83ee1e_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Back in the forest:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53116365047_579417313e_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There was plenty of blowdown to deal with:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53116407647_9e325782c2_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53117497823_37b22dcc3e_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I passed the junction with Pup Prairie Trail 1434, which probably doesn&#8217;t see much use:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53117004391_d3b961321c_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The forest was pretty green and lush:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53116364872_59ccbce42f_b.jpg\" alt=\"Acker Divide Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is Toad Lake, according to the map, but I didn&#8217;t see any water.
