Bolivar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday, July 1, 2023<\/p>\n<p>After the short hike to <a href=\"https:\/\/cherylhill.net\/blog\/2023\/08\/03\/hanging-rock\/\">Hanging Rock<\/a> we headed over to Mt. Bolivar to do that hike.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53061265071_2b90107ed7_c.jpg\" alt=\"Mt. Bolivar Hike\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Right at the beginning of the hike you can see Mt. Bolivar looming over you. It looks intimidating!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53060958228_3f37d6626e_c.jpg\" alt=\"Mt. Bolivar Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We started climbing upward, passing some wildflowers:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53060670909_0f867d17c1_c.jpg\" alt=\"Mt. Bolivar Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The trail turned out to be pretty well-graded and not steep:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53060871285_1169acd64c_c.jpg\" alt=\"Mt. Bolivar Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Parts of the trail burned in the 2005 Blossom Fire, but some trees are intact:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53060871215_08e0dff356_c.jpg\" alt=\"Mt. Bolivar Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>View to the southwest. Saddle Peaks are in the foreground. Hanging Rock, where we were earlier, isn&#8217;t really visible due to the light, but it&#8217;s just to the right of Saddle Peaks:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53061752248_2def826903_c.jpg\" alt=\"Mt.
