Our first hike of the weekend was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oregonhikers.org\/field_guide\/Grizzly_Peak_Hike\">Grizzly Peak<\/a>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We got an early start to avoid the crowds. There were two cars when we got to the trailhead at 7:35. This is BLM land and the trailhead signage was pretty great compared to what we&#8217;re used to in national forests. There was even a sign in Spanish!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52939157236_2d21199d7c_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Although it&#8217;s a tad early here for most of the wildflowers, we did see thousands of trillium:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52937907454_a540e4ebf0_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52938200173_7f5c7feb2a_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52937913749_d15cbcee70_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52938206648_5915fb2d3e_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There were other early wildflowers as well including woodland violet:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52937755271_09d504fb1b_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And calypso orchid:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52938153840_3b7351b339_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52938312558_ffafda03b3_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Crews had come through the week before and performed trail maintenance, thankfully:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52939157131_c17b379ac8_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We passed a hellebore meadow with a view:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52938164220_553f1c65d4_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52938164680_e805cf7c8c_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As we reached the &#8220;back end&#8221; of the loop we started getting more views:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52937769901_39c071af37_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52937921209_0caf3baf4b_c.jpg\" alt=\"Grizzly Peak Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mt.
