This area is also known as Dalles Mountain Ranch. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It was a gorgeous sunny day and we had views right from the parking area. Mt. Jefferson:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51162239996_a7183f7e54_c.jpg\" alt=\"Stacker Butte hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This time of year the wildflower show starts right at the beginning. The entire route is along a gated road, used only occasionally to service the equipment up on the summit:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51161580967_e34580d81b_c.jpg\" alt=\"Stacker Butte hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The views from the road were great and we could see Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Adams, Mt. I hiked parts of that trail recently, but didn&#8217;t go in far enough to hike the stretch seen here:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51163116319_9c82c592fd_c.jpg\" alt=\"Stacker Butte hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We took shelter from the wind behind some kind of large electrical box, eating our snacks and admiring the view.
