It&#8217;s a pretty long hike and there isn&#8217;t much to see on the way up or down. But while we were <a href=\"http:\/\/cherylhill.net\/firelookouts\/2019\/09\/10\/return-to-indian-ridge\/\">staying at Indian Ridge Lookout<\/a> Greg wanted to do this one, so off we went.<!--more--> This is what the hike looks like for the entire five mile climb to the top:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/48671843778_108c844305_c.jpg\" alt=\"Chucksney Mountain Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We saw signs of recent maintenance, which was surprising since I don&#8217;t think this trail sees many hikers:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/48672181231_6db01eba45_c.jpg\" alt=\"Chucksney Mountain Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This was once a viewpoint, but not anymore:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/48671841888_434bd930e5_c.jpg\" alt=\"Chucksney Mountain Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hiking through huckleberries (nothing ripe, sadly):<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/48672355047_256ac5319b_c.jpg\" alt=\"Chucksney Mountain Hike\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In 2015 there was a small area that had just burned.
